Sebastian Gorka, a former White House staffer, had his security clearance revoked by John Kelly in 2017.

But on Monday he was boarding a plane with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and headed for Europe.

Many are confused about Gorka’s presence and why he is deemed a necessary addition to Sec. Pompeo’s meetings with European heads of state.

Apparently he is traveling as a member of the press. (He hosts a show called ‘America First’ on the Salem Radio Network.)

Sebastian Gorka is most remembered for his outburst in the Rose Garden where he called a reporter a “punk.” He also reportedly has ties to a Hungarian Nazi-allied group that go back decades, and he was previously listed as a wanted man in Hungary with an open arrest warrant issued in 2016.

In the midst of the impeachment inquiry and Pompeo’s subpoena by House committees, adding Gorka on a State trip to Europe doesn’t seem to make much sense to anyone.
