While at a joint news conference with the President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö,  Trump became visibly enraged when Jeff Mason of Reuters pressed him on an impeachment question.

Trump’s nonanswer to the question “What did you want President Zelensky to do about Vice President Biden and his son Hunter?” prompted Mason to repeat the question asking for a real answer.

In response, Trump went full Taxi Driver on the reporter saying, “Are you talking to me?”

Mason kept his cool during the exchange, but the President’s attitude quickly devolved into a snarling rage demanding that the President of Finland be asked a question instead.

“Did you hear me? Did you hear me? Ask him a question. I’ve given you a long answer, ask this gentleman a question. Don’t be rude. I’ve answered everything. It’s a whole hoax. And you know who’s playing into this hoax? People like you and the fake news media that we have in this country. And I say in many cases, the corrupt media.”

The ludicrous exchange became fodder for late night hosts, with The Daily Show calling Trump a “spray tan Samuel L. Jackson”:

Seth Meyers called Trump’s exchange with the reporter “testy”:

Even the President of Finland seems to be trolling Trump at this point:

The Finnish president just said to Trump, “You have a great democracy. Keep it going on.” Is he subtweeting Trump to his face?!

As the impeachment inquiry moves forward, the American people will need to buckle up. Trump’s unhinged moments are likely to keep coming fast and furious.
