A woman interrupted a town hall being led by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) with a bizarre claim that people needed to start eating babies in order to combat climate change. She was later found to be connected with the pro-Trump group LaRouche PAC.

Ocasio-Cortez listened gracefully while the woman expressed distress over the climate crisis, believing her to be suffering from mental health issues.
This person may have been suffering from a mental condition and it’s not okay that the right-wing is mocking her and potentially make her condition or crisis worse. Be a decent human being and knock it off.

Fox News host, Tucker Carlson, attempted to turn AOC’s compassion into something nefarious. He tried to insinuate that the Representative is somehow fine with eating children calling her response “revealing.”

According to Gizmodo, the woman was actually a troll planted by a Pro-Trump group. The LaRouche PAC took credit for the stunt. In addition to supporting Trump, LaRouche also believes the climate crisis is a hoax.
Their website claims they stand for “an Economic Renaissance of Humanity and the Exoneration of Lyndon LaRouche.”
Lyndon LaRouche was a political extremist that ran for president eight consecutive times, including once from his prison cell. He was known for his wild conspiracy theories like accusing the Queen of England of being involved in drug trafficking and claiming that the Holocaust was a myth.
