Democrat Andy Beshear just won the governor’s race in Kentucky, delivering a huge upset to Republican incumbent Gov. Matt Bevin.
And this time it was personal to the President.
“If you lose, they’re going to say Trump suffered the greatest defeat in the history of the world. This was the greatest,” said the president just last week.
“You can’t let that happen to me!”
Trump made KY Governor's race about himself. "Matt Bevin losing sends a really bad message." "You can't let that happen to me." Well it did. Democrat Beshear is Governor-elect pic.twitter.com/XkUnYILJRK #lastword

Except, that’s exactly what Kentuckians let happen to the President.
Bevin had threatened to cut Medicaid expansion in Kentucky, which would have forced 400,000 Americans off their health insurance.
It didn’t end there. He was also quoted as saying that the teachers were “ignorant” and “selfish,” and said kids were likely exposed to sexual assault because teachers were protesting instead of staying in the classrooms.
Beshear won by focusing on healthcare and education. He pledged to be pro-choice, promised to protect Medicaid and give teachers pay-rises.
