The backlash against White House senior advisor Steven Miller is growing.
A group of 27 senators led by Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) has drafted a letter to be sent to President Trump demanding the removal of Stephen Miller from his role as a senior adviser. And 8 Jewish organizations launched an initiative, Jews Against White Nationalism, with the same goal.
“We write to demand the immediate removal of Stephen Miller as your advisor,” states the Senators’ letter, reports Huffington Post who was provided a copy by Harris’ office.
The letter focuses on Miller’s leaked emails which Harris claims show “what is driving Mr. Miller” is “not national security, it’s white supremacy—something that has no place in our country, federal government, and especially not the White House.”
Not one to mince words, Harris also says, “Mr. Miller is unfit to serve in any capacity at the White House, let alone as a senior policy adviser.”
In addition to Senator Harris, other names signed on the letter which is supposed to be delivered today include Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA.), Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT), and Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN).
Jews Against White Nationalism launched a petition against Miller in late November stating, “As your fellow American Jews, we will not rest until you resign.” A statement called him the “architect of the Trump administration’s cruel and endless attacks on immigrants.”

As I said earlier this year: Stephen Miller is a white nationalist.
And now we have the emails to prove it.
This type of racism and hatred has no place in our government.
Miller needs to step down. Now. https://t.co/cvmOXcjAeo

The White House has labeled the 900 or so emails as part of a “far-left smear,” even after 80 members of the House of Representatives voiced their concerns about Miller’s presence in the White House. It remains to be seen what the administration will make of the petition or the Senators’ letter.
