The leading evangelical magazine Christianity Today published an op-ed calling for the President’s removal which sent Trump scampering to Twitter for a total meltdown temper tantrum. The President even mis-abbreviated the magazine’s name as “ET”!

As can be expected, ridicule ensued on the social media platform,

It is easy to see why Trump was unhappy about the Christianity Today piece. It certainly didn’t hold back, saying things such as Trump has a “blackened moral record.” It also warned readers that the country was playing a card game with a “stacked deck of gross immorality and ethical incompetence.”

Equally stunning, the magazine wrote:

“That he should be removed, we believe, is not a matter of partisan loyalties but loyalty to the Creator of the Ten Commandments.”

The President responded by calling the magazine a “far left” and “progressive” publication. He also threw in his typical dig about how “poorly” it was doing.

Many pointed out the absurdity of calling the evangelical Christian magazine a radical left publication:

When I go to the Soros owned corner bookstore I always pick up the latest issue of that far left magazine Christianity Today, the one with AOC dating tips, Nancy Pelosi perfume inserts, and Bernie Sanders socialist coupons.

Then there were those that jumped on the fact Trump pretended to be an avid reader even though he mistakenly referred to the magazine as “ET”:

I went to seminary with the Christianity Today editor who wrote the Trump piece. Trust me, he’s not “far left.” Not even “left.” He didn’t even like those books about being left behind.

There was one person that came rushing to defend the President against the radically, progressive Christian magazine: Franklin Graham.

Graham posted a lengthy Facebook rebuttal to the op-ed pointing out the many accomplishments of the President including his penchant for appointing conservative judges. Graham also mimicked Trump’s words saying, “It’s obvious that Christianity Today has moved to the left and is representing the elitist liberal wing of evangelicalism.”

Graham’s response was tweeted by Trump’s campaign account, and Twitter users were happy to ridicule it as well:
