People have been warning of Trump’s collusion with the Russians since the 2016 election. Now, it’s official.
MSNBC interviewed a former top CIA official, Jeremy Bash, who says that there is clear evidence that Russia wants to get Trump re-elected. And, he explains, Trump is in turn doing everything he can to thwart a serious response by our intelligence agencies.
Trump fired acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Joseph Maguire, for daring to allow a report to Congress about how the Russians are trying to interfere with the 2020 election.
Bash says it’s a concern when everyone who has tried to stop Russia gets fired, saying “Trump “doesn’t want the intelligence community defending us” from Russian cyberattack on our election.
As Bash puts it: “It’s all an effort to squash any information at all about a Russian cyberattack on the 2020 election.”
Bash added that it’s clear Trump wants the Russians to help him win, and he will fire as many people as he needs to prevent Congress from stopping them.
Former GOP-Rep and Morning Joe host, Joe Scarborough, calls this firing crossing the “rubicon.”

Russians, as NBC News puts it, are “the greatest threat to American Democracy that we have.”
According to NBC News, Shelby Pierson, appointed in July 2019 by Dan Coats as the top advisor on threats to elections, “The threats as we go into 2020 are more sophisticated.“ Many people are determined to stop Russia’s interference from happening.
Unfortunately for democracy, one of those people is not Donald Trump.
