Trump said in a press conference Tuesday held in India that the U.S. was “very close” to a coronavirus vaccine.
But experts—and senators of both parties—say a vaccine wouldn’t be ready for at least another year.
The White House claims Trump was talking about Ebola. As Politico reported, “The White House later said the president was referring to the Ebola vaccine, which the FDA approved two months ago.”
So rather than simply explain Trump made a mistake, the White House would rather publicly admit that the President confused coronavirus with Ebola (and also got the timing of that vaccine wrong).
Low Ratings Fake News MSDNC (Comcast) & @CNN are doing everything possible to make the Caronavirus look as bad as possible, including panicking markets, if possible. Likewise their incompetent Do Nothing Democrat comrades are all talk, no action. USA in great shape! @CDCgov…..

White House officials aren’t happy with how HHS Secretary Alex Azar is handling this issue, saying they “felt the administration was caught flat-footed by the severity of the outbreak,” says Politico.
Twitter is not having it with Trump’s statements:
Dear @realDonaldTrump: Cases are now reported in Austria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Spain & Switzerland. STOP LYING ABOUT THE DANGER. With 14 day incubation period, it’s hard to detect & kill rate is 20 times deadlier than the flu.
Also it’s spelled coronavirus, not Caronavirus. https://t.co/TLeZjpp6pF

Sen. Kennedy asks Health Sec. Azar how long to create a coronavirus vaccine. Azar says could have one within a YEAR. Kennedy notes the DHS secretary just testified it would take a month and a half. "That's never happened in human history," says Azar.
