Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham announced on Twitter Tuesday that the President would be donating his fourth-quarter salary to the coronavirus fight. The tweet included a picture of his check for $100,000 along with #coronavirus.

Right-wing media praised his generosity, likening it to the time he generously paid for fast food when the Clemson University football team visited the White House.

Twitter, on the other hand, does not find the generosity of our Golfer-in-Chief—who gutted the CDCs budget—quite as praise-worthy:

Trump has visited golf clubs 247 times since taking office with a total cost to taxpayers exceeding $130 million. Puts that $100,000 in perspective, doesn’t it?

Kennedy & Hoover didn’t take a salary. Nor did they make promotional appearances at their personal properties that costs taxpayers what $130 million so far? He gets a tax write-off, net sum gain is + for him. Spare the sanctimony.
