In the ad, the narrator continues to explain that “afraid to look too weak”, the President has “tear gas and flash grenades used on peaceful protestors.” On June 1, the President’s security personnel made a path for Donald Trump to get to his photoshoot by using “chemical agents” (tear gas) and rubber bullets on the crowd. William Barr gave the order.
Trump was on his way to a disastrous photo op in which he posed in front of the Ashburton House, the parish house of St. John’s Episcopal Church. The Bishop of Washington D.C. was “outraged” by the photo op. She pointed out the President had not asked permission to use the Church “as a prop”. She told CNN:
“Let me be clear, the president just used a Bible, the most sacred text of the Judeo-Christian tradition, and one of the churches of my diocese, without permission, as a backdrop for a message antithetical to the teachings of Jesus,”
Amused critics on Twitter pointed out he was holding the Bible upside down.
