Trump babbles nonsense about swine flu. Twitter sets ‘the record straight on Trump’s lies’

Trump remembers a time when Americans were on lockdown, when schools were closed, and when many people died all because of the swine flu.

The rest of America is having trouble remembering this version of history. In fact, most people don’t remember this version at all.

Trump tweeted that Joe Biden “FAILED BADLY with the Swine Flu Epidemic. He knows nothing. All talk and no action!” Twitter made sure to remind him of some hard facts and truths about his own handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Politifact, “Biden was the vice president, but he was not in charge of the Obama administration’s handling of the H1N1 pandemic. That responsibility mainly fell on the leaders of Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”

The only reason Trump seems to think that Biden had much to do with the swine flu is that current Vice President Mike Pence is in charge of the COVID-19

Setting the record straight:

A video from NowThisNews explained what really happened. “I was patient zero for swine flu in the United States,” said Veteran Esti Lamonaca. “Donald Trump has tried to rewrite history, and I’m here to set the record straight.”

Did he even think about what he was saying?

Trump should spend more time worrying about the current pandemic…

No one remembers that

Dredging up swine flu has only led to comparisons that do not work out in Trump’s favor.

Biden wasn’t president

Maybe Trump is “blaming” Biden for swine flu so people will blame Pence for coronavirus?

Twitter brought the heat — as can be expected.
