In a shocking move on Tuesday, Texas filed a lawsuit declaring voting irregularities in four states key to Biden’s win. Yesterday, attorneys general from a staggering 17 states declared their support for Texas’ attempt to delay Biden’s inauguration. Is this the real reason William Barr wants to quit?

If the Supreme Court gives in to the states that filed a brief, there will be no future elections in America. What would be the point when people will just see their votes ignored by the states that disagree with the winner so why would they vote?

What a treasonous waste of judicial resources. At a minimum, all of the lawyers involved in this and every other effort in court to overturn the election should be disciplined for offering knowingly false information and bringing frivolous claims.

The Texas attorney general Ken Paxton (a longtime Trump supporter) declared that the changes in voting rules due to the COVID-19 pandemic led to fraud and irregularities in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. Paxton says these votes should not count. Biden won all four states.

Legal experts have dismissed the lawsuit as “utter garbage,” and “laughable.” Many believe it to be a publicity stunt of connived political theater. The President however has thrown himself behind the attempt which he calls “the case that everyone has been waiting for.” Trump is himself asking the Supreme Court to let him intervene saying the votes “are in violation of the Electors Clause and cannot be counted.”
Not good enough that the Dakotas have the same representation in the Senate as the 60 million people in NY and CA, or that a voter in WY has 4x the voting power of those of us in NY. Now the losers want to just say “Democrats just can’t vote anymore?” WTF?

The Republican attorneys general supporting the move are claiming that the alleged voting infractions “undermined the liberty of all Americans.” Critics fear this could be paraphrased as ‘undermined the victory of President Trump.’
I got in touch with the AG’s office in Kansas. Gave them a piece of my mind. Said I didn’t serve this nation to see it be have a free & fair election overthrown, children & ppl threatened over conspiracies. I miss truth &honor. I didn’t raise my kids this way did you? #VetsResist

Interestingly, several of the states that joined the ‘amicus brief’ on Wednesday are themselves guilty of the acts they are arguing against. According to the brief, any extended voting deadlines allowed “a post-election window of time during which nefarious actors could wait and see whether the Presidential election would be close, and whether perpetrating fraud…would be worthwhile.”
Meantime, West Virginia, Utah, Kansas, Mississippi, and North Dakota, all took in mail-in ballots that arrived after Election Day. Yet, the attorneys general of these states signed onto the brief.
Now it’s lawsuits for pardons (Paxton). Can’t tell you how super stoked I am that Paxton is using our tax money in Houston for this embarrassing stunt 😡. There needs to be consequences. This is NOT OK. I’m tired of corruption being normalized .

There is speculation that Ken Paxton is looking for a pardon from Trump. The Texas attorney general was indicted five years ago on felony charges of security fraud. He is also undergoing investigation by the FBI for alleged bribery and abuse of office.
The Texas AG is fishing for a pardon from trump. He’s under FBI investigation and he doesn’t care if he damages our democracy to get it.

After the President tried to personally intervene in the case, 17 lawmakers and former officials filed a brief of their own, this time supporting the four swing states. The brief was signed by ex-Republican officials and former members of the House and Senate. They argued that attorney general Paxton’s case is “a mockery of federalism and separation of powers,” and that this suit does not belong in the Supreme Court.
The Constitution does not make this Court the multidistrict litigation panel for trials of presidential election disputes.
Yet many fear that even if the lawsuit does not hold legal water, it could set a dangerous precedent and shift the public mood.
