Last week, Tucker Carlson went on air to claim that white supremacy is a lie and “not a real problem in America.”
This absurd statement came just days after a gunman murdered 22 people in El Paso after posting an anti-immigrant manifesto that complained of a “Hispanic invasion.”
“It’s a hoax just like the Russia hoax. It’s a conspiracy theory used to divide the country and keep a hold on power “
But, needless to say, neither white supremacy nor Russian interference in our elections is a hoax. They are very real threats to America and Americans.

Carlson takes a ‘vacation’
On Wednesday, at the end of his show, Carlson abruptly announced he was taking some time off, facing mounting controversy over his claims.
But there is a long history of Fox hosts going on vacation after facing boycotts.
— Laura Ingraham announced she was going on vacation in March 2018 after mocking Parkland survivor and gun control activist David Hogg
— Sean Hannity went on vacation in May 2017 after losing advertisers for promoting the Seth Rich conspiracy theory
— Bill O’Reilly went on a vacation in April 2017 — and never returned — after the NY Times reported he had settled five sexual harassment allegations for millions of dollars
This latest “vacation” came immediately after the number of advertisers on the show started dropping rapidly.
Despite leaving on an abrupt and suspiciously timed vacation — a commonly used tactic by Fox to deter advertisers from dropping shows after a host says something particularly egregious — Carlson has continued to lose advertisers.
Nearly 50 companies have issued statements dropping ads on Tucker Carlson’s show since December when he was also accused of making racist statements.
CONFIRMED: Long John Silver will no longer advertise on Fox News.
In 2018, Long John Silver ran ads on Fox almost every day; they advertised heavily for the first portion of 2019. In April declined to renew contract and to avoid Fox News going forward. Today they confirmed to me
