Tucker Carlson’s ad sales are tanking thanks to his appalling racism

Tucker Carlson’s racism is bad for the bottom line at Fox News. The number of companies pulling advertising from his show skyrocketed last week.

Just a couple days after the El Paso mass shooting, which was perpetrated by a white terrorist with an anti-immigrant manifesto, Carlson did an episode of his show ranting and calling white supremacy a “hoax.”

“It’s actually not a real problem in America,” Carlson said. “This is a hoax just like the Russia hoax. It is a conspiracy theory used to divide the country and keep a hold on power. That is exactly what is going on.”

Advertisers like Nestlé, HelloFresh, and Long John Silver all made announcements about pulling advertising from the show. In fact, Carlson started the week with 21 paid ads per show and by Friday, he was down to just 11 according to Media Matters.

Not everyone pulled the plug, however, and there are still quite a few major retailers that have shown no signs of pulling their ads from Carlson’s show. Companies like Bausch +Lomb, USAA, Bass Pro Shops, Beaches Resorts, PetSmart, and Samsung are still listed among the current advertisers.

While not all of his advertisers agreed with Carlson’s thoughts on white supremacy, there was at least one person who agreed with the sentiment. David Duke, the former head of the KKK, was happy to agree with the Fox News host:



The day after his rant, Carlson announced that he would be taking a little vacation to “the wilderness” for a fishing trip with his son.
