Trump’s trade war with China is about to come home to roost as his 2020 campaign materials start to be affected by his own import tariffs.
Last week, Trump stated that he would be raising tariffs on $250 billion worth of Chinese-made products which will go into effect on Sept 1. American consumers are bracing for the hit to the wallet because the goods that are expected to be affected by the tariffs include iPhones, laptops, shoes, clothing,

This particular round of tariffs will also affect other types of textiles which includes Trump’s campaign flags. As much as Trump loves to brag about bringing jobs back to America, he purchases the bulk of his campaign supplies from China.
Tremendous investment by companies from all over the world being made in America. There has never been anything like it. Now Disney, J.P. Morgan Chase and many others. Massive Regulation Reduction and Tax Cuts are making us a powerhouse again. Long way to go! Jobs, Jobs, Jobs!

The factory that produces the president’s “Trump 2020” and “Keep America Great” flags is located in Fuyang city which is north of Shanghai. While the owner of the company, Yao Dandan, hasn’t raised his prices yet, he says he won’t have a choice but to do so soon:
“We have no choice. It will certainly have an impact on us.”
Dandan’s factory, which employs about 70 workers, was responsible for producing the majority of Trump’s 2016 campaign banners and flags. The 2020 campaign currently accounts for about a third of his overall business.
