Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has expanded a state of emergency to cover all of Florida’s counties as the state prepares to be hit hard by a potentially catastrophic hurricane this weekend. Dorian’s path puts 8 Trump-owned properties in storm zone.

Tropical Storm Dorian intensified to a Category 1 storm Wednesday shortly before making landfall in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, skimming Puerto Rico, and then changing paths to head towards Florida.

NOAA predicts the superstorm will become a Category 4 super-hurricane by the time it’s forecasted to make landfall on Monday (or Tuesday). The rapid intensification of the storm is one of the ways climate change impacts hurricanes. Atlantic sea surface temperatures are up to 3.6°F above average which increases the amount of energy storms like Dorian are able to pull from.

The President warned Florida residents on Thursday to “be prepared” via Twitter:

The eight Trump properties in danger of being hit by the storm include his weekend home Mar-A-Lago and the property he pitched for the next G7 meeting, Trump National Doral.
