Trump refuses to personally condemn doctored video where he’s on a killing spree in a church

An extremely violent doctored video was shown at a pro-Trump event in Florida where the president’s son, Don Jr, and former press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders were scheduled speakers.

The video is a clip taken from the 2014 film Kingsman: Secret Service which depicts a killing spree inside of a church. In the version shown at the pro-Trump event, the killer has Trump’s head superimposed, and all of the victims have been changed to various news outlets or Trump rivals such as Hillary Clinton and John McCain.

On Monday morning, White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham tweeted that Trump “has not yet seen the video, he will see it shortly, but based upon everything he has heard, he strongly condemns this video.”

But as The Intercept noted, “does anyone seriously believe that President Donald Trump ‘strongly condemns’ the meme video” of him murdering his critics including the media? “If so, I have a degree from Trump University to award them.”

On Monday afternoon, CNN’s Brooke Baldwin had strong words for the president regarding the video and his lack of a personal comment:

“Mr. President, it is now 2:49 PM Monday afternoon. Condemn this video now.”

Trump tweeted more than 30 times on Monday. He sent a shout out to Sean Spicer…

He complained about Hunter Biden…

And he talked about his wall…

but he never did get around to personally condemning the doctored video.
