It is no secret that the President loves to throw around the term “Fake News.” Anytime he disagrees with the content of an article, he calls it out as being fake, but the Trademarking ‘Fake News’: Teen Vogue trolls TrumpTrademarking ‘Fake News’: Teen Vogue trolls Trump isn’t going to just let those attacks slide anymore.

Teen Vogue reports the group has applied to trademark the term “Fake News,” and they have already sent out their first cease and desist letter to the President.

The group decided to pursue action because Trump’s words are having real world consequences. His constant tweeting of the phrase (1,200 times and counting) has led to his followers taking up the call and doing things like sending bombs to CNN and wearing T-shirts that promote violence against the media.

Irritating Trump isn’t the only thing the group strives to do, they are also helping to educate the public on what Fake News is, and what it isn’t.
