In unhinged tweet, Giuliani calls Bin Laden ‘Ben Laden’ and tries to rewrite history on Obama’s triumph over Osama

Giuliani calls Bin Laden ‘Ben Laden’ in unhinged tweet that tries to rewrite history on the killing of the Al Qaeda leader

Amid all the news of corruption and impeachment, the Trump team was hoping the killing of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi would paint the President in a positive light.

It didn’t quite turn out that way, however, which has Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, spouting nonsense on Twitter:

There are two things to unpack here, but before we get to the obvious one “Ben” Laden, let’s look at the statement “Republicans congratulated President Obama.”

Did they though, Rudy?

Former GOP Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin had kind words for the armed forces, but no mention of the President:

“Thank you, American men and women in uniform. You are America’s finest and we are all so proud. Thank you for fighting against terrorism.”

Then there were those that couldn’t quite bring themselves to give Obama all of the credit so they tacked on George W. Bush’s name as well. Like

House Majority Leader at the time, Eric Cantor (R-VA), who said, “I commend President Obama who has followed the vigilance of President Bush in bringing bin Laden to justice.”

So, no, Mr. Giuliani, you aren’t “better than the Dems.”

“Ben” Laden is dead!

That brings us to the “Ben” part of the Tweet which turns real life into a comedy show:

That little typo had “Ben Laden” and “Benjamin Laden” trending on Twitter Tuesday morning.
