Tucker Carlson has been known to say controversial things on his FOX News show. Last night he was at it again.
Carlson asked his guest, “I know Hunter Biden. I actually like Hunter Biden. But that’s totally corrupt and you know it. Why is it worse to ask about it then it is to do it?”
Goodstein replied: “Because people are actually dying on the front lines. You think this a joke.”
He was then interrupted by Carlson, who said: “Why do I care? Why do I care what’s going on in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia? And I’m serious. Like why do I care?”
Then Carlson dropped this bombshell: “And why shouldn’t I root for Russia, which I am.”

Someone must have warned Carlson that rooting for Russia—and hence their murderous dictator Vladimir Putin—wasn’t likely to sit well with the American public. So, he ended the show with the classic get out of jail free card: “I’m joking.”
After having clearly been tipped off that his comment is receiving backlash, Tucker ends the show with an “of course i’m joking”

But you can watch the video for yourself. Goodstein says, “You think this a joke.” Carlson says, “I’m serious,” and then a few seconds later says “why shouldn’t I root for Russia, which I am.”
So clearly he wasn’t making a joke, except to the extent that his entire show and his daily “performance” is a national joke, albeit one that isn’t funny at all.
