In a Fox News one-on-one, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) admits that he is “coordinating with the White House” on impeachment—abandoning independence and impartiality.
Mitch McConnell: Everything I do during this, I’m coordinating with White House Counsel. There will be no difference between the President’s position and our position as to how to handle this pic.twitter.com/baFaTKWvUl

While the House of Representatives is responsible for bringing the official charges and approving the articles of impeachment, the Senate is responsible for the trial. The senators are tasked with hearing the witnesses and considering the evidence. Then, they vote to either convict or acquit with a two-thirds vote required for a conviction.
By saying “there will be no difference between the president’s position and our position,” McConnell is admitting the Senate trial will be a sham. He is essentially allowing the accused to run the trial.
Moscow Mitch has just announced he will conduct the Senate trial in coordination with the WH. So much for Fairness & Impartiality. So much for Checks & Balances. So much for our 243 year Democratic Experiment.

Hearing the Senate Majority Leader’s remarks on Fox have a lot of people calling for his recusal.
Recuse!!!

What Mitch is saying is anti-American, anti-Constitution. It corrupts the fair jury trial and is a grotesque slap in the face to the American People. Recusal is required. He is rigging the trial and NO COORDINATION with the WH is REQUIRED.

Thank you for pointing this out. In any other criminal trial, people with compromised viewpoints wouldn’t be on the jury. The House should motion for McConnell and the others we know are compromised, to recuse. That would eliminate at least 10 Senators from the jury.
