Trump is concealing the taxpayer dollars he’s grifting from the Secret Service to protect him at his hotels

How much money is the Trump administration spending at Trump’s properties and businesses—and how much of that is going into his own pockets?

We don’t know because the White House won’t say.

In a new episode of ProPublica’s “Trump Inc.” podcast, Washington Post journalist David Fahrenthold says:

“He’s paying our money to himself. There must be so much more we haven’t seen.”

The Secret Service spent more than $250,000 at Trump’s properties, over just a five-month period in 2017, Front Page Live reported late in 2019.

Earlier in February 2020, the Washington Post found that Trump’s private company charged Secret Service agents as much as $650 per night per room for protecting him.

All these are just small fragments of the bigger picture, which still isn’t visible because the Trump administration refuses to comply with information requests.

For example, ProPublica notes:

While the president has visited his properties on nearly a third of his days since he took office, the Secret Service has not listed its spending on Trump properties in a public database of federal spending. And some of what has been disclosed has been misleading. The Post discovered that the nearly dozen payments listed as “Trump National Golf Club” were actually made to Mar-a-Lago, which is not a golf club.

How much has the Secret Service spent at Trump’s Organization? The truth is we don’t know.

How much has the U.S. government spent at Trump’s Organization since 2017? We don’t know.

Simply put, the Trump administration won’t reveal how much of American taxpayers’ money is going into the President’s personal pockets.
