As lawmakers work on a $1 trillion stimulus package in response to the coronavirus, the clean energy industry and advocates are calling for climate and clean energy to be part of broader economic recovery legislation.

A group of clean energy trade associations sent a letter to House and Senate leaders Thursday morning calling for key tax incentives to be repaired or extended to help the sector weather impacts from COVID-19, which has already started to significantly disrupt solar, battery, and other clean energy supply chains.

Members of the House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition say they are also focused on making clean energy tax credits a priority in a larger stimulus package.
