While the company decides to stay open even after nearly 90 American retailers shut shop temporarily to contain COVID-19, their website noted how they were handling the pandemic.

Hobby Lobby CEO David Green’s wife did not have a vision from God telling them to stay open.

She had a vision of their bank account telling them to stay open.

According to Hobby Lobby’s statement, “If an employee is suspected of having COVID-19 based on symptoms and/or known direct or indirect exposure, we will send that employee for medical care and to self-isolate at home.”

Hobby Lobby CEO be like - I’m gonna pay you less money than before and make you risk your lives during a pandemic but it’s ok because my wife talked to Jesus and he said you’ll be fine. Also Jesus told her “Fuck your employees they don’t matter.”

No sick pay for you

According to a Business Insider report, Hobby Lobby’s 2017 benefits summary stated that only salaried employees were eligible for paid sick leave.

There was no mention of what hourly workers had to do in the face of the virus.

.@HobbyLobby, a “Christian-based” company who professes to be pro-life, is refusing to provide paid sick leave to all non-management employees, which comprises over 85% of their workforce.
