Last month, conservative states like Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas categorized abortions as “non-essential,” using the pandemic as an excuse to clamp down on reproductive rights.
But, it turns out, these “pro-life” politicians appear to be against the living who are trying to safely protect themselves in the time of an unprecedented national public health emergency.

One ad calls out supposed “pro-life” mascot, Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos. He forced thousands of Wisconsin citizens to go vote in person. He even said, “You’re incredibly safe to go out.”
There have been more than 4,499 positive COVID-19 cases in the midwestern state alone with 231 reported deaths.

Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick had a different response to the pandemic: that the economy is more important than his people.
He is of the opinion that old people, i.e. those most at risk of contracting coronavirus, should volunteer to die to save the economy.
Patrick calls himself “pro-life.” Oh, the irony!

Scores of universities across the U.S. shut their doors to battle the spread of coronavirus. Even as these colleges sent their students home, Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, headed by “pro-life” Jerry Falwell Jr., reopened in the middle of the pandemic.
This is the same person who said that the media is overhyping COVID-19 to destroy the American economy, and referred to coronavirus as a Christmas present from North Korea.

During a national public health crisis when being able to afford health care is every American’s primary concern, 17 state attorney generals who call themselves “pro-life” are now suing to dismantle and end the Affordable Care Act.

For Indiana’s millionaire GOP Rep. Trey Hollingsworth, money matters over people.
Another pro-life advocate, Hollingsworth said that letting more Americans die of coronavirus is the “lesser of two evils” compared to the economy tanking.

Like the 17 state attorney generals who are suing to dismantle the Affordable Health Act, “Pro-life” U.S. Attorney General William Barr wants to end it too.
This would leave millions of Americans without healthcare coverage in the middle of a deadly pandemic.
Now, Trump’s allies are begging Barr to sue states for imposing coronavirus restrictions that they are calling “unconstitutional.”
