The Lincoln Project ads have taken a multi-pronged approach in their attack against Trump’s Presidency. Some went for the heartstrings, holding up Dr.Fauci while exposing Trump’s lies. Others used the funny bone to make their message loud and clear. This latest ad: “Failure” is a simple mashup of the President’s public statements, versus the coronavirus timeline. The effect is chilling.

I share your outrage.

Remember: this is an obvious attempt at distraction from COVID response failure and do nothing for betraying our military to Russia.

The latest COVID-19 death toll in the United States stands at 144,305 Americans. If Trump had acted sooner in his response to the pandemic, studies show an estimated 54,000 lives could have been saved.

The Lincoln Project ad “Failure” juxtaposes the President’s casual responses in his public statements and breezy confidence, while the number of cases increased exponentially.

Twitter deplored the fact that it didn’t have to be this way.

It didn’t need to be this way. The people didn’t need to die. His job was to let the scientists guide him. If only he had just done his job the people would not have died. The schools could have reopened safely. It didn’t need to be this way.

The US & South Korea both had their first Covid-19 case on the same day about 6 months ago. Yet, every single day this past week, the US has had about 4x more cases than SK has had in those entire 6 months.

South Korea met the problem swiftly & smartly. The US had Trump.

If the President can’t control the pandemic, how can he handle the economy?

Many users pointed out the tragedy of the fact that the United States was one of the best-prepared countries in the world for a pandemic. Yet it is now the global epicenter of infections and COVID-19 deaths. There was concern over how the economy could be righted if the virus could not be controlled?

Trump could not organize a coordinated response to the pandemic involving medical supplies and personnel. Does anyone believe he could manage the economic recovery?

Trump promised he would eliminate the nation’s debt in eight years. Instead, his budgets would add $8.3 trillion during that time. It would increase the U.S. debt to $28.5 trillion at the end of eight years, according to Trump’s budget estimates.

A ‘Wartime President’ with ‘Spot the Elephant’ cognitive ability

The President has sought to present himself as a ‘Wartime President‘ fighting the coronavirus pandemic. Twitter users were quick to point out the irony of a draft-dodging wartime president.

The memory of Trump boasting about the cognitive test he passed in the disastrous Trump-Wallace interview was still fresh. During the interview on Fox News Sunday, the President spoke at length about the difficult questions towards the end of the interview. Chris Wallace reminded him one of the last questions on the test was to subtract 7 from 100.

… and now we know why? Any imbecile with the spot the elephant cognitive ability of a two year old running the coronavirus pandemic response results in 4 million infected and 143,000 DEAD. that is why Pre-toddlers are not allowed to be POTUS!

What isn’t stressed enough is that just because you SURVIVE COVID-19, it doesn’t mean you come out whole. I know someone who had to had a part of his intestines removed, another who had to have a lung removed. It’s like a mass shooting. You may survive, but in what condition?

This is very true. I have a friend and colleague who caught COVID-19 in March. A couple of months later he was able to take a short walk. Then he caught it again and now can barely eat and is virtually bedridden. This is someone who had 5 sick days in 15 years prior to this.
