As US deaths from COVID-19 passed 150,000, Trump retweeted a video starring several questionable doctors, including one who has become known as “Dr. Demon Sperm.” In this video, Dr. Stella Immanuel touted the president’s own favorite snake oil cure, hydroxychloroquine.

Trump broke the silence from the “White House Coronavirus Task Force” in late July to sing a more honest tune about COVID-19. “It will probably, unfortunately, get worse before it gets better,” Trump admitted. The president even briefly admitted masks were helpful: “Wear a mask, get a mask. Whether you like the mask or not, they have an impact.”

That tone didn’t last long.

After taking a brief whirl with facts about the coronavirus pandemic, Trump is back to promoting quack cures and baseless claims.

The video Trump retweeted was produced by the conservative group Tea Party Patriots. This group has been pushing misinformation in an attempt to work against state lockdowns and other measures designed to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Their video has been labeled as misinformation and is being removed from social media platforms.

Fortunately, though, the video of John Oliver ripping on it is easy to find.

Add the tweet of video doctorss to Trump’s coronavirus timeline.

Who are the video doctors?

A group of people in white coats call themselves “America’s Frontline Doctors,” but saying it doesn’t make it so. “None of the most vocal members have practices that would place them on the actual front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic,” reports the Everyday Health Group. Some don’t even practice medicine, and one of the two ophthalmologists featured is unlicensed.

Their advice goes against CDC guidelines and reputable studies of hydroxychloroquine. In fact, the video Drs’ advice is so dangerous, the president’s son had his Twitter account suspended for spreading it.

Dr. Stella Immanuel, a recently licensed pediatrician, claims that many gynecological issues stem from having dream sex with demons. Dr. Immanuel also has a side gig preaching sermons that include warnings that doctors use, “all kinds of DNA, even alien DNA, to treat people.”

After appearing in this video, Dr. Demon Sperm was a forgone conclusion in the nickname department.

But Trump and his followers have doubled down on her advice.

A pile of grey question marks with a red one on top.

The sudden infamy of Dr. Stella Immanuel raises some important questions. Like where Dr. Demon Sperm got her degree.

And what exactly “Fake News is.

Trump ignores the real doctors

With Dr. Deborah Birx by Trump’s side as she carefully threads the minefield of promoting science while pleasing her boss — and Dr. Anthony Fauci just a phone call away — the president could not resist retweeting a video supporting his own Fake News about COVID-19.

But pay attention to what the Trump family is doing; while Trump tells Americans to send their children to school and recommends the drug regimen of video Dr. Demon Sperm, he and the kids are safe at home.

Meanwhile, Trump is attacking Dr. Deborah Birx. But only because she didn’t toe the line.

Hey, it’s just Americans dying. Why would you want doctors working on the coronavirus when you could have video Dr. Demon Sperm?

Trump’s minions attacked Nancy Pelosi for questioning Dr. Birx…shortly before Trump attacked Dr. Birx herself.

Let’s just remember why Dr. Birx is the top public health official — because Trump and his minions have already attacked and sidelined the previous top public health official, Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Maybe the next top public health official will be video Dr. Demon Sperm.
