‘An orange-faced windbag’: Nothing like leaked footage of backstabbing Republicans to kickstart the RNC

"An orange-faced windbag" - There's nothing like leaked footage of backstabbing Republicans to kickstart the RNC

Just as the Republican National Convention launches, a new video has emerged leaking footage of what high-ranking Republicans REALLY think of Donald Trump. Caught on camera dismissing the President as a “delusional narcissist and an orange faced windbag” who “has never even read the Constitution”, this video exposes powerful officials such as Marc Rubio, Kellyanne Conway, and Ted Cruz.

These men and women support Trump to his face — but this video shows where they stick the knife when his back is turned.

Twitter rioted.

They all knew

Of course, they did.

Ted Cruz made no meat about his feelings for Donald Trump, and the feeling was mutual. The two men attacked each other’s politics, wives, and citizenship. They even threatened to sue.

Something changed, and Trump began calling Cruz “beautiful Ted.”

Rand Paul is a Kentucky Senator. He once called Trump an “orange-faced windbag.”

The pair fought during the 2016 Presidential election during when Trump said this about Paul: “reminds me of a spoiled brat without a properly functioning brain.”

The Senator now staunchly supports the President.

Nikki Haley is the former Governor of South Carolina who strongly opposed Trump during the 2016 election.

Trump, in return, attacked Haley on Twitter when she called on the then-candidate to release his tax records. Fast-forward to the present, Haley loyally defended the President during the Republican National Convention and together they lashed out at his rival Joe Biden.

Marco Rubio (R-FL) ran against Trump in 2016. That year, he called Trump a “con artist” and the debate between the two men left politics and entered the arena of dirty name slinging.

From his spot in the Senate, Rubio has done an about-turn to become a Trump loyalist.

‘He’s a race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot’

Lindsey Graham is the definition of “flip flop politics.” (In fact, you can actually buy a pair of Lindsey flip flops in his opponent’s campaign store!)

The South Carolina Senator once said: “You know how you make America great again? Tell Donald Trump to go to hell.” Graham remained critical of Trump in the early days after the election. He soon became a staunch supporter of the President and his “great friend.”

A Washington Post journalist accused Trump of blackmailing Graham to buy his loyalty.

Kellyanne Conway is the President’s counselor and one of his longest-serving aides. She once accused the President of ripping off those beneath him to build his success.

In a surprise announcement yesterday, both Kellyanne Conway and her husband George, one of the men behind the anti-Trump PAC the Lincoln Project, will be stepping back from their roles.

Mike Pompeo spoke out against Trump in 2016. After the latter became President, Pompeo rarely left his side.

Today, it appears Pompeo’s ascent to power came at a cost — he was embroiled in the Ukraine scandal that led to the impeachment trial against Trump.

Glenn Beck is a conservative radio host. Many believe his radio shows are what stoked the flames of paranoia helping Donald Trump get elected.

Beck was originally not a Trump fan.

Perry had strong words for Trump — before the latter became President.

During an interview, he later admitted he had told Donald Trump that he was “God’s “chosen one” to lead the United States.”

‘I just cannot support Donald Trump’

Maine Senator Susan Collins originally urged voters to distance themselves from Donald Trump.

When it was too late, she stayed by the President’s side, though with much disappointment. While she supported the President during his impeachment trial, she has chosen not to endorse him for the 2020 election.

Are we forgetting anyone?
