After Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger defended the integrity of the state’s election, Republican Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue called for his resignation.

In a joint statement, the two Senators accused Raffensperger of “mismanagement and lack of transparency.” However, they did not provide any evidence or specific examples of his failure. Raffensperger was not intimidated. He laughed off the call for his resignation stating, “that is not going to happen.” The secretary of state also pointed out that Perdue and Loeffler are probably “irritated” that their races will be decided via a runoff election.

Georgia’s Lt. Governor made a statement on Monday morning that no “credible incidents” of voter fraud had been raised.

Twitter users were ready to point out that Loeffler was appointed to her position, Raffensperger was elected. It was a point that he made himself when he scoffed at her demand for resignation, “The voters of Georgia hired me, and the voters will be the one to fire me,” he said.

Perdue crying voter fraud does not surprise very many people. Twitter users pointed out the this is the same guy who purposely mispronounced VP-elect Kamala Harris’s name for the entertainment of the MAGA crowd, and Perdue also enlarged his opponent’s nose in political ads to play into anti-semitic tropes.

And how about all that insider trading…

Both Loeffler and Perdue have some shady transactions under their belts.

Who’s ready to vote?

Everyone is rightfully exhausted from election week, but Twitter users are busy encouraging Georgians to get out and vote in the runoff election.
