Trump promotes claim Jewish Israelis love him like he is ‘King of Israel and second coming of God’ - The Independent

Today’s morning Twitter outburst comes less than 24 hours after president used an antisemitic trope about Jewish ‘loyalty’, and after the absurd bid to “buy Greenland” followed by cancellation of the state visit to Denmark.

Is this a real madness of King Trump, or just his instinctive way to cover up for his last blunder about buying Greenland?

The Gaslighter-In-Chief is trying to push us into a state of permanent disbelief — “Is THIS really happening? — as he knows that confusion weakens people’s resolve and resistance.

Gaslighters know that people like having a sense of stability and normalcy. Their goal is to uproot this and make you constantly question everything. And humans’ natural tendency is to look to the person or entity that will help you feel more stable—and that happens to be the gaslighter.

We believe that Trump’s morning Twitter session, comparing him to “the second coming of God,” is just another display of his usual tactic.  Cover up one scandal by creating a new one.  And everybody will forget.

All that discussion effectively pushes out from our collective attention the diplomatic scandal Trump created by “bidding to buy Greenland”.

 Trump said yesterday that he won’t meet NATO ally Denmark because they won’t sell Greenland

At first America tried to laugh at this story, producing funny responses to Trump’s absurd idea:

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen emphasized Sunday that the semi-autonomous island was going to stay that way, saying the U.S. president’s apparent interest in a purchase was “an absurd discussion.”

And former Danish PM tweeted:

So the POTUS has cancelled his visit to Denmark because there was no interest in discussing selling Greenland @BBCRadio4 Is this some sort of joke? Deeply insulting to the people of Greenland and Denmark.
