George Conway, husband to senior Trump advisor Kellyanne, kicked off MSNBC’s coverage of the impeachment proceedings with some heartfelt words about putting country over party:
“This is about the country. People doing the right thing by the country, and not by their party. And this is about telling the truth about what really happened and not about party loyalty. This is about putting the country, the law, truth above partisanship.”
When asked if he is disappointed in Republicans for not putting the truth before party, Conway responded that he was “horrified” and “appalled.”
Watch the exchange:
George Conway: “I’m horrified. I’m appalled…I don’t think I could have imagined a president, any president, engaging in this sort of conduct.”
