It is no secret that the Conways do not see eye to eye when it comes to President Donald Trump. Kellyanne, a senior advisor to the President, her husband George, an attorney, has been publicly outspoken about his dislike for his wife’s boss. But things just got a little more personal.
According to a new report by Vanity Fair, there are at least three sources close to the Conways who claim the Impeachment inquiry has been a strain for the couple.
One of those sources said, “He tells people she’s in a cult.”
Another of the sources claim that George has said, “It’s not going to get better until she’s cast out of the cult.”
Vanity Fair reports, “Sources say George loves Kellyanne and wants the marriage to survive. He’s told people that if Kellyanne leaves the White House, they can make it work, a friend of George’s told me.”
Calling the GOP under Trump a “cult’ is not new for George. He has been tossing that word around for a while now.
Nearly a year ago, he told Yahoo News, “I don’t feel comfortable being a Republican anymore…I think the Republican Party has become something of a personality cult.”
Then the word popped up again here:
no it’s not a cult at all https://t.co/1yL1VnHqus

The Conway’s marriage isn’t the only thing strained by their differing ideologies. Some in the White House claim Trump and Kellyanne are sometimes at odds over her husband’s words.
A source close to the administration says the President blames Mrs. Conway when Mr. Conway goes on the attack. Trump allegedly said, “George gets all his power from you,” and he has even referred to him as “Mr. Kellyanne Conway” on Twitter:
George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife’s success & angry that I, with her help, didn’t give him the job he so desperately wanted. I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!

All that tension could make for awkward dinner conversations, therefore, it’s not surprising that the sources say Kellyanne spends the majority of her time in Washington D.C while George tends to stay in Manhattan.
