Carly grew up as a McCain Republican.

“I don’t recognize the Republican party as it is right now,” she says.

As the impeachment hearings get started, CNN went to meet some women in the suburbs of Arizona, a battleground state that could decide Trump’s future.

And there are plenty of women who are not buying Trump’s GOP. Carly was one of those.

“He [John McCain] made me feel proud to be an Arizonan,” she says, choking up as she talked about how John McCain felt betrayed by the party he had grown up in.

She is not alone either. Polls show that suburban women have abandoned Trump’s Republican party in droves, and it is starting to panic the President.
