After lying to reporters during the Mueller investigation, former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders complained that she didn’t like being called a liar. And Twitter had a field day making the hashtag #SarahSandersIsALiar trend.
The 36-year-old told The New York Times that she was attacked for everything, not just her performance. “I don’t like being called a liar. The other stuff bothered me far less,” she said.
Twitterati jumped on the irony of it all. “If you hate being called a liar, stop lying” and “that ship has sailed” was the general tone of the response.
Well @SarahHuckabee maybe you shouldn’t have lied to America all day every day because now the entire country knows #SarahSandersIsALiar 🖕🏻 #Suckabee https://t.co/pHbl7O3W7c

FUN FACT: if Sarah thinks people saying #SarahSandersIsALiar is bad, she and her family are really going to hate what historians say pic.twitter.com/iYCFHuKcaL

If you drew Sarah Sanders as your secret Santa, what would you gift her?

While some tweets stood out for being wise quips, some also got really personal.
It's a medically known fact that the more you lie, the more likely the chance your face will slide off your skull. #SarahSandersIsALiar pic.twitter.com/cwmZ4xB9eJ

Sanders gained the liar tag after she misled reporters on several instances in Robert Mueller’s investigation. The Mueller report even noted these instances — seven to be precise, in which she had lied. Some of them included the time she lied about the President firing FBI Director James Comey and Trump’s infamous Trump Tower meeting that sought damning information about Hillary Clinton.
After the expose, she called it “a slip of the tongue.”
Six months after leaving the White House, she is now back to being a private citizen in Arkansas. Her father, Mike Huckabee was governor of Arkansas, and he ran for Republican presidential nomination from the state. Some reports even noted that it looked like she would be running for the post of Arkansas governor herself.
It’s sad that the state of mental health care has declined in America to the point that this delusional person thinks she can pathologically lie her way into the Arkansas governors office. #SarahSandersIsALiar
