Ivanka Trump took a two-day tax-payer funded trip to India.
While her father, President Donald Trump was busy mispronouncing the names of famous cricket players, the first daughter was seen posing away with her husband, Jared Kushner at banquets in the presidential palace and at the Taj Mahal.
This has confused (and angered) American taxpayers who are calling her #NepotismBarbie on Twitter and wondering what she’s even doing there.

The background
Just last week, Ivanka was flitting around Dubai for a taxpayer-funded business trip.
Anna Massoglia, a researcher at the Center for Responsive Politics tweeted that it coincided with the third anniversary gala of Trump’s Dubai golf club.

The former chief of the U.S. Office of Government Ethics criticized Ivanka’s trip too.

Incidentally, Washington Post noted that India is also home to most of Trump’s largest ventures outside of North America, that his family still has interests in. Coincidence?
Are taxpayers footing the Trumps’ trips?
Trump likes to take his family out on trips from time to time — like his infamous trip to the UK that is said to have cost taxpayers $3.5 million. He took his kids (and their spouses) to meet the Queen.
While some of them reportedly paid for themselves, taxpayers foot the bill for Ivanka and Jared who are both Trump-appointed senior advisers to the White House. And are hence on an “official trip.”
